This is a handsome, solid chair and the sliding side table available from either side is a great feature. Its wheels make it easy to move around. I had a rather miserable time with the shipping vendor, but the product itself is a winner. It is heavy and cumbersome in its package, however. It needs two people to assemble even though the instructions are easy. The shipper will NOT do this for you, so you need to plan for about 20 minutes of unpacking and assembly before use.
This chaise lounge came as described and was very easy to assemble. My husband and I put together two chairs in less than an hour.
We were a little concerned about the quality but they're great. Easy to assemble if you've worked with tools at all. Just assemble legs when it's upside down on a table. Finish scratches easily (a bit disappointing). I gave 5 stars because of value vs quality. If they were $200.00 I would rate them lower.
Plan on getting some kind of outdoor furniture oil to put on this as it needs it. Also plan on buying the cushions for it. It is definitely not comfortable enough to use without them. I got two and it took a while to put them together but I do think they are great for what they are. I bought mine during a 50% off sale and would definitely not spend full price on this. It's not good enough quality to pay $200+ for, but I do enjoy relaxing on it on weekend mornings out on my deck. Also try to get it in store - I ordered mine online along with a whole set of outdoor dining and seating furniture, and almost every piece arrived with some kind of imperfection. Some was clearly from the shipping, but others seemed to be just imperfections in the piece from the beginning as the box was not ripped, torn, crushed looking, etc.
I've had two of these for 2 years now and absolutely LOVE them! This is widest chair that I could find (27" wide) so that when you lay down you can actually lay your arms beside you without them falling off the chair or being up right against your hips/legs blocking the sun rays. My friends love that part about them too. They are sturdy, easy to move around and easy to put together. The tray underneath that pulls out on either side is a bonus! I am ordering two more this year.
I received two of these chairs today. They arrived well packed . No damage. Very easy to assemble. Very sturdy. Wheels work well. I love the shelf. It works on either side. Going to be a great summer
We purchased 2 of these lounges. The wood is beautiful and they are a very attractive addition to our patio. There were 2 problems with them right away. One of the supporting bars was warped to the point that is was almost impossible to assemble. Once my husband was able to get past that and assemble them both we moved them to the back yard. The support slide mechanism to raise and lower the seat back has a miserable design. If it is lifted correctly to lower all is well. HOWEVER if someone sits on it and tries to lower by lifting the back and letting the back close naturally it puts the bar in a position the cracks the wood and destroys the entire chair. This happened our first day. World Market replaced the chair but we now need to be VERY careful until we can engineer a strap or something to prevent the back from closing inappropriately. I would not buy these again, they are too delicate for a piece we wanted to welcome any visitors to our pool sunning area.
