I purchased the Carved Wood String Lights for my daughter to use in her dorm room for one of her Christmas gifts. Her old string lights went kaput after 5 years of loyal service. After looking at many other places online, I was thrilled to find these Carved Woods String lights at World Market. My daughter is very pleased with them. They are now hanging up in her room until she returns to school. The lighting is soft and subdued and the carved wood look is right up her alley and the price was right! Please keep carrying these World Market so we can purchase another couple of sets!

I am totally in love with these unique wooden lanterns. They not only add just enough everyday ambience in the room, I am leaving them up indefinitely for the holidays. So far, visitors that have seen them up in my dinette area love them as much as I do.

These are lovely, delicate string lights that bring a soft glow to our deck at night. After reading others' reviews, I'm handling them carefully, taking them in when rain threatens--as it seems to be doing all summer long :( .

These lights in person are beautiful! I love how the carved wood looks. They put off a darkish orange light, and not much at all, but adds a nice touch to a decorated area. LOVE these lights! I have them hanging with the Harbour Stripe Battery-Operated Paper Lanterns also sold by World Market. Makes for a great looking deck!

I couldn't be happier with these string lights. They are exactly what I was looking for, and for such a great price! The individual lights are much bigger than I expected; the square one is about 2 1/4" wide on each side. The wood cut outs seen through the red glow offer a nice ambiance to any room for entertaining or just relaxing by yourself. For now I've decided to hang them on the ceiling of my patio. I originally intended to hang them along the outside edge, but as one of the reviewers said, they are too delicate to leave out in the weather. And they're far too pretty to abuse in such a manner; I want to preserve them as much as possible so I can enjoy them in the years to come. In fact, I like them so much I'm considering ordering more.

These are really pretty in person and when lit give off a reddish glow. They will be a perfect addition to our yoga room! Great price too and they arrived one day after I ordered them!

I originally found these lights on ebay from another company going for thirty dollars. I was going to buy them, but as soon as I tried I was told the listing had ended and they were already sold! I loved how they looked so much I searched the internet and found them here, quickly buying three sets. Now that I have them, let me tell you that they're just as charming in person. In any dim room your eyes are immediately attracted to them. Couple that with the delicate cutouts and you have a wonderful way to make any room seem warm and unique.
I would like to point out that if you plan on stringing them along an open wall, the space between the plug and the first light is very small, so have an extension cord to make up for that accordingly. Also, they're a very thin and porous wood so as other people have mentioned, I WOULD NOT leave these outside for extended periods of time! Use them for a patio party, but don't expect them to endure the elements. They're not permanent garden fixture material, but they'll look lovely in any room. ^^ Really wonderful looking, nice orange glow, and will bring detail to any place you put them.

Since the bottoms of the lanterns are flat, they can be set them on a surface or hung. I have a raised white limestone hearth and this strand fits perfectly across it, so I placed them on the surface. The lights look fantastic on my hearth, and they add a nice warm ambiance to the space. They look artsy and creative, and I get compliments on the look and feel they give to the room. I love them! They have a warm, soft, subtle glow that also works as a nightlight since I leave them on all the time, and the bulbs don't add much heat to the room. Beautiful!
