Rated 5 out of 5 by Ian Worth the Wait I purchased six of these, used to work at World Market, and I had decided to wait on coasters until they had some better than other websites I looked at. These fit my style just fine, because I have carved wood boxes in my room, and I like using wood products. The design is curiously well done and makes me want to return to more art work. These designs are representative of elemental interactions within heaven, as heaven is represented often in a circle, so my I Ching studies favor something like this. I am planning to purchase more, and I'm pleased with the affordable price. I actually get plenty of use out of these lately. Right now, I'm using them for hot cups of coffee on a glass table. Rated 4 out of 5 by AnnaMay Strong Peculiar Odor.... These are very beautiful and intricate ,but they have a peculiar strong odor, kind of like varnish . I do not have a great sense of smell ,yet as i write this and the coasters are 4 feet away i am already getting a headache. I have let them sit out now for three weeks and the smell is still present. Also on the bottom of the coaster there is no felt ,so if these were to be used on a delicate wood surface the possibility to scratch would be very high. November 14, 2013
