Rated 5 out of 5 by Stellar Deb! Great Grinder! I have several coffee grinders over the past few years, from Krups to Black & Decker. Neither of them held up. Have had this one for a while, and it works perfectly. I really just use it for coffee, as I used a coffee press. The only suggestion I would have is to be able to grind your coffee based on the type of equipment you use, but then suspect this grinder would cost a lot more. You definitely get what you pay for! I bought my second grinder specifically to grind flaxseed, as I don't want to "flavor" my original coffee grinder with flaxseed taste. This is perfect for grinding flaxseed. I'm able to easily grind as little as 1 tablespoon at a time because the grinder blades sit close to the base. March 21, 2009

Rated 4 out of 5 by brianguy good coffee grinder I had never owned a coffee grinder before, but was just getting into grinding my own beans at home. I shopped around and couldn't find one I liked, that had a strong motor, a nice capacity hopper (more than 12 cups) that was compact to not take up much room, and didn't heat up too much while grinding the beans. This one fit the bill nicely. There are few downsides to this one. I wish it had settings to automatically grind the beans to the right coarseness, but after you've used it once or twice you get the hang of it pretty well. I also wish there were some kind of measuring marks on the lid so that you knew how much you were grinding. Otherwise, you're sort of just guessing and its hard to be consistent. The base I wasn't crazy about at first, since it feels a bit flimsy, but at least you can wrap up the cord with it. If the blade were removable, it would be a bit easier to clean. As it is, it's not terrible just a little less convenient. I also wish this were the stainless steel silver one instead of black, but that is just personal preference. Instructions were good, they tell you to grind the beans in 10 second pulses which will give good results without overheating the beans. I find I have to grind for at least 30 seconds to get a nice consistent grind, not too fine not too coarse. And if it's not enough, you can always grind a bit more. I do find that when you fill the hopper right near its absolute limit you will not get quite as good results. So don't fill it all the way up to the very top (works out to just a bit less ground coffee), and it should work fine. The lid is nice and safe, this is a good design which won't let it work when it's not on securely since the button is built right into the lid. Overall I give it 4 stars out of 5. About what I expected it to be, and does what it's advertised to. August 6, 2009
