Rated 5 out of 5 by swisamyromance Love, love love this table My table just came today and it's beyond my expectations. The legs and the top are very, very heavy and sturdy material. Everything screwed together nicely and the directions were easy to follow. It's a great island for my kitchen. I love the industrial/rustic look of it... it's like a custom piece built just for me! It's a BARGAIN for the price! January 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jman First World Market Purchase - Very Happy Took a chance on this table as I have never ordered, or even heard of, World Market before. The price was certainly attractive but I was expecting Ikea type quality. I was pleasantly surprised when the table arrived, it is certainly great quality for the money. They could probably sell this for twice the price at C&B or PB. This table is built very well, is very heavy, and the finish on the wood looks great. They say the table top is faux stone, not sure what it's made of but appears to be some mixture of cement or resin. It is cold and feels like smooth slate, I would compare the color and texture to a chalkboard. Looks great in our kitchen and we also paired it up with the twist swivel stools. Assembly was a breeze and it came packed very well. November 30, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by EVE-B Love this table We just got this table today. We recently had our kitchen remodeled and have been looking for a table for the kitchen. We did not want anything overwhelming and wanted to avoid any dark woods since there is alot of dark wood from the new cabinets. My husband spotted this table which is a work bench, pub type table. It was totally a different direction than my original thought, but I really liked the style. I thought it would fit well with our kitchen design. It seemed sturdy and low maintenance which is perfect with 2 little ones. The price of [$] sealed the deal. They drilled the holes underneath in the wrong place and had to drill again so they reduced the price... no biggie for us. May 26, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by KMJoy Looks beautiful but scratches like crazy I purchased both the Brooklyn work table and the Brooklyn dining table. I LOVE the way they look, kind of beachy but also modern looking with the faux stone top. These tables scratch UNBELIEVABLY easily. Like, if you so much as look at it, it scratches. I found this very odd considering the top is a faux stone material that weighs a ton. It bothered me so much that I ended up returning the dining table. It would probably be a poor choice for a family with children. I kept the work table, with the intention of painting the top with chalkboard paint. I love the look of the table, so I'm hoping chalkboard paint will be the solution. It can't look any worse than it does now. April 8, 2013
