Like the previous reviewer mentioned, when you pour hot water, pour it in a circular, slow and steady fashion. If you overload the dripper, then the filter will bust. But doing the slow and deliberate will give you a nicely brewed cup. The glass is thin so handle with care. The stand is really nice and very good quality.

This product is wonderful. Not only is it nice to look at, it is absolutely functional and makes great tasting coffee. I use it with the Chemex bonded filters, and it works perfectly.

This is a very elegant pour over. There are a couple of notes. Like the other review you need to be careful when putting a #4 filter in the funnel. If you just "jam" it in and then pour directly down into it the filter does not have enough strength to hold up and will break though, however if you fold the filter about an inch back, place it in the funnel and then pour around the sides (which is how you are supposed to do it) then it does not break and works perfectly. We have been using this for over three months and since changing to folding the filter slightly we have not had a break through. THe other option is to pick up a cotton filter and use it. I hope you enjoy it.

The Brass Pour Over Coffee Dripper Stand with Wood Base looks absolutely perfect on my kitchen countertop. Unfortunately, when you place a filter and grounds in it and begin to pour water over them, the filter collapses and you're left with a mug full of grounds. The hole at the bottom of the glass cone is too large and the filter cannot support the weight of the grounds and coffee focused at its tip.
