Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the fixture, hanging it was another story The fixture itself is great, very well made. Has substantial feel, great value for the price. The light kit (which does NOT come with it) is another story. There is no where to hang the chain (that comes with the fixture) so we had to create a combination of the bulb and the cord from the light kit with the ceiling canopy of my old light fixture. Luckily, my husband is pretty handy, but this was not an easy fix. Also, the light kit only come in black or white, neither of which matched the fixture, so I spray painted it gold. So overall, I am pleased with the result, but there was a lot of work to get there. August 19, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Be prepared to McGyver this thing Very unique and cool looking fixture. I bought it half-price but I don't know if I would have gone through with the purchase otherwise. It's just a bunch of gold washers welded together. And mine was dented on one side (is that why it was on sale?). And it's only a shade, so in order to hang it from the ceiling like a regular light fixture, you have to be handy enough to attach it to the ceiling kit-light (purchased separately). We disassembled the light fixture a bit and fed the shade chain AND the electrical wire through the center hole in the light canopy, then have a cotter pin securing it to the mounting bracket inside to support its weight.
