Why We Love It

Simply one of the best values on the market. An intense color and full body with a very ripe nose of roasted black cherry, black raspberry and licorice. Barbecue ribs, burgers and steaks salute its Spanish heritage.

Borsao Garnacha 4.4 5 10 10
Good at first, great after breathing! I recently picked up this phenomenal red during a case sale for around $6 and would happily say that I would pay over $20 for it. The first night I tried it, I thought it was a decent red although a little mellow for a garnacha- deep body but more fruity notes and less spice than I expected. I poured a second glass the next night and hardly recognized it as the same wine. THIS is the taste I expect from a quality Spanish garnacha. Bold and deep flavors of berries and a hint of black grape, sweet tobacco, rich earthy tones and a more prominent spice but nothing over powering, with a rich velvety dry finish. All in all, incredibly easy drink and goes phenomenally with an herb and cheese ravioli in red sauce. October 1, 2013
Super everyday red This is an excellent Spanish wine. I think Borsao is a second label of Tres Picos, which is a fine old vine Grenache. Borsao has similar lushness, although not as deep and refined. At less than half the price of Tres Picos, Borsao could be one of your everyday red choices, and Tres Picos one for your dinner parties. December 19, 2011
Great wine This is another of my favorite Spanish wines. It's very easy-going for a bold wine. Wonderful flavor. March 10, 2010
Good Stuff Very even, not too dry or too fruity. Very smooth finish. Most people say "Wow" after their first sip. Highly recommend this wine. Wine is 75% Garnacha and 25% Temparnillo. December 19, 2008
Two lip-smacks - great for the price This is a great Garnacha/Timpranillo blend - usually reversed in ratios but this works really well -- many more tastings necessary to prove the theory November 18, 2010
Great everyday value wine This is a wine we keep by the case. Great for beef, full flavored barbeques yet won't overpower pasta dishes. Surpurb with pizza. Easily my wife's favorite table wine. As in many spanish wines it won't berak the bank either. As for the sedement issue just decant the wine with a filter. This also helps the wine as it is usually a young wine at time of purchase.
