I recently picked up this phenomenal red during a case sale for around $6 and would happily say that I would pay over $20 for it. The first night I tried it, I thought it was a decent red although a little mellow for a garnacha- deep body but more fruity notes and less spice than I expected. I poured a second glass the next night and hardly recognized it as the same wine. THIS is the taste I expect from a quality Spanish garnacha. Bold and deep flavors of berries and a hint of black grape, sweet tobacco, rich earthy tones and a more prominent spice but nothing over powering, with a rich velvety dry finish. All in all, incredibly easy drink and goes phenomenally with an herb and cheese ravioli in red sauce.
