It started when I went to a breakfast hosted by a friend and she used a Chemex pour over. Well, the coffee was out of sight and then I went on the hunt. Expensive! By luck, I ran into this Bodum at World Market and when I saw that it even had the filter (which the other does not, and the other is an additional $60 to buy one), well, I scoffed that baby right up and headed home. I wondered for such a wonderful price if it would be as good as that 'brand name' one, but let me tell you now, it is superb! I couldn't do without it. It simple to use, makes the most wonderful clean and crisp tasting coffee and is a breeze to clean. As the weeks have gone on, I look at my Bodum with it's silicone collar and the glance at my friend's with the wooden collar, and I think to myself, boy oh boy, am I ever the lucky one.
