I always prefer to purchase furniture in the store vs online because I worry about damage occurring during shipping and then having to return and re-order. Not a problem with this piece - it's VERY well packaged, so no scratches or dings and, as an added bonus, your kiddos can make styrofoam castles with all the left-over packaging.
The desk itself is very easy to put together - it took me about 10 minutes to attach the legs. It's very sturdy and seems to be well-made (it's actually made of real wood!). The finish is nice and smooth, so be advised that it does show every tiny piece of dust and it also gets very fine scratches quite easily. I'm one of those neat-freaks, so these things are not my fave, but I'm managing by dusting regularly and being conscious of not sliding things across the desk and using a pad underneath when I'm writing.
Overall, this is a beautiful, contemporary piece and we're loving it!

I had to put this together by myself, so I was worried that it would be difficult. It wasn't! The directions were simple and it was easy. It is holding my huge laser printer and other stuff and it's great! Definitely recommend.

Fits perfectly into the space I had. Love the keyboard hideaway fold-down drawer to keep my desktop clean, and better for typing ergonomically too. Has a sharp-looking, somewhat contemporary design to it with very clean lines.

I love the fact that this is wood, not laminate. It has clean lines, and looks great. Very easy to put together, it's only 3 pieces. So glad I bought it.

I have been searching for a desk both online and in different stores and I finally found it! It is the perfect size , not too long and not too short. My desktop is able to fit on the desk while still having room for a lamp and other supplies. The drawer fits the keyboard although it is too small to use the mouse while in the drawer with the keyboard. The black finish is very nice. Any dust is seen easily, but that is with any dark furniture. Putting the desk together was very easy, and I was able to do it by myself.

This is a sturdy well made piece of furniture. I'm sure it would make a great desk but I am using it as a television console. It is minimalistic and looks fantastic! Lots of compliments.

Outstanding quality for the price! I spent $160 on it, with shipping! It looks Crate & Barrel expensive and modern but it's simple design compliments my Victorian apartment perfectly. It's also the perfect size that it could function as a narrow dining table to two if you're looking to re-purpose it. It's easy to assemble. It's still pretty heavy so you're going to want someone to help you but it was perfectly packed and included all the tools. My only minor complaint is that the drawer pokes out a tiny bit on one end. Now all I need is the perfect chair...
