Our Black and Taupe Prayer Shawl comes to you from the holy city of Benaras on the banks of the sacred River Ganges where, for centuries, priests have used traditional prayer shawls in prayer rituals. Our modern version of these vibrant, hand block-printed shawls offers a wearable twist on tradition. We like to keep a few on hand for draping over jeans-and-T-shirt, or as a pop of color with a little black dress.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LestYeBecome Favourite Scarf For Years! I've had this scarf for a few years now (I can't believe they still carry it!) and I wear it all the time. I actually bought it back when I couldn't find Ganesha images anywhere, let alone somewhere so main-stream. It's gotten so much use and, as thin as it is, there is still no tear in sight. This can be worn so many ways. One of my favourites is to lightly tie the ends together and double it around my neck as a makeshift infinity scarf. Love it so much! If this one ever wears out, I'll definitely buy another! NOTE: It asks "How long have you owned this product." and the longest time option was "1 year." I have owned it longer than that, for the record. I'm not sure how long, exactly, but a few years. September 12, 2013

Fabric is see thru when not doubled, but only adds to the beauty of the scarf. Ganesh design along with ohm symbol is ornate. Will be purchasing this in another color. February 12, 2013

Scarf is generous in both length and width and can easily be used as a scarf, shawl, sarong, or even a decorative table cloth. Scarf is slightly see through and smooth in texture. The Hindu god Ganesh is featured along with an ancient prayer. This scarf is a perfect addition to a Boho/gypsy/hippie dresser. February 7, 2011
