Rated 1 out of 5 by Ewww I'm VERY disappointed! I saw the photo on the website and I knew that my friend would love them so I ordered them to give to her as a gift. I was so very happy that I had found something that so perfectly fit her taste and style. Then these arrived. I was so disappointed that I actually felt like crying! The stones are not the pretty aqua color depicted in the photo. They are a sickly-looking greenish grey shade that reminds me of the ((ahem)) bodily secretions of someone in urgent need of medical attention! In addition to the awful color of the stones, there is some blackish substance that looks for all the world like mold, mildew or moss growing in or on them! Click the thumbnail photo I've posted here and I think you'll agree. They look terrible! I realize that variations in color are to be expected with natural stones. But didn't anyone look at these stones before putting them in the settings? Maybe compare them to the picture of what they are supposed to be producing? What could make the person responsible for picking stones from a bin and placing them into settings think that these were acceptable? Was there no quality control or inspection process? I'm also annoyed that the description isn't consistent as to what metal these are made of. I've shopped for years at my local brick-and-mortar World Market store and never had a problem with quality of anything I've bought. This is the first time I've ordered from them online and with such a disappointing experience with these earrings, I probably won't do it again. I notice that these are now "unavailable online" so I got the last pair, I guess. Good! Nobody should have to put up with such a shoddy product. These earrings are being returned as fast as I can get them out of my house! December 7, 2015
