Perfect! We purchased this product as a replacement for another, similar, Cost Plus table we had purchased and placed in our lake home in August 2012. We had to replace it because the other was stolen (along with the rest of the contents of our home!) in October 2012, just 2 months later and only sitting for a meal at it once! We purchased this Verona table with 4 chairs and the bench. It is perfect to be able to open the table with the "butterfly" extension that is built in and no need to worry about storing. The bench will seat several little one's, as well as, 3 -4 adults comfortably (when table is extended) so it is nice to be able to have a large group sit at the table for a meal! We hope to be able to enjoy this set with many friends and families for many years to come! It's already "antiqued" so any further "antiquing" it will get from use will only continue to give it character! May 17, 2013
Simply Perfect First of all its beautiful. It can be dressed up or down which makes it ideal for my family. And it is so simple to put together. Just have two people with muscles to do the table. I love it. April 24, 2012
Beautifully well-made table It's a solid, well made table. I'm very pleased with it! December 3, 2011
Not perfect but close I've been using this table for a few weeks now and am ready to write my review on it. Pros: *Easy to put together *Very heavy and sturdy *Easy to expand *Seats a lot of people Cons: *Shows fingerprints easily (not great with a 2.5yr old) *The groves are horrible for collecting crumbs and hard to clean *When wiping the table with a paper towel pieces get caught and torn off in the groves. *There has been a little splintering but no major marks Overall I'm really happy with the look and functionality of this table. I would still recommend it to others but give a heads up about the cons in case it's things they may not have thought of before purchasing. September 18, 2013
Very disappointed in the quality of this product We purchased this table for our new home along with 6 chairs to match. After waiting at least 2 months because the chairs were on backorder, we were finally able to bring everything home. Initially, we were very pleased, as the table had a nice heavy weight to it and was very sturdy. However, as I began wiping it clean, a piece of the wood splintered and broke off. This happened in a couple different places on the table top. It's been only a few months that we've had this table and I just noticed tonight that there is a spot on the top of the table that almost looks like it is starting to warp and the finish is bubbling . I am so upset over this. I would recommend that people think twice before purchasing this table. It has been a huge disappointment to us. I'm not sure of the return policy when something like this occurs, but I will not purchase another major piece of furniture from here. August 9, 2013
Grooves in top collect crumbs constantly, paint on top scratched off in months I was excited about this table and waited for months as it was backordered. When it finally came in, it looked great and was easy to put together. But after the first few meals, it was obvious that it was going to be a pain to keep clean as it has the grooves in the top that collect crumbs. Not good thinking on my part as I have 3 kids and crumbs get everywhere. Using a vacuum or toothbrush after every meal proves to be a pain. That's bad enough, but the first time we used it there were splintered pieces of wood where the grooves are that would catch a paper towel as we were cleaning and eventually splintered off. The paint on the top has also rubbed off in places within only a couple months. I'm thinking of trying to find a piece of glass to put on top of it, but wish I had invested the money in a better table instead. I'm surprised no one else has listed these issues - they were evident the very first time. I've never written a review for any product but am so displeased I want to make sure to warn others.
