The leg board of the chair was spliced and it collapsed with my son and my new grandbaby. I will not be buying any more of these chairs. These chairs come fully painted so you can't tell if any of the boards are spliced.

I was so disappointed in this chair. I have assembled a lot of furniture - bookcases, chairs, desks. Long story short - I know what I am doing with wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc. (Not like all of these tools were needed for this chair.) I have *never* had a chair break as I was putting one together.. until this chair. The wood on the base of the chair split and part of it snapped off during assembly. I had to literally return the chair to the store in pieces. Very disappointed.
