Rated 5 out of 5 by Swordswoman Salad plates to the rescue! We finally found the dinnerware we love (Leila; I think it must be discontinued) on the clearance shelf at our World Market, except that the salad plates that come with the set don't coordinate with the dinner plates and the bowls very well, IMO. The dinner plates and bowls have a cream color background with a nice detailed pattern of a sort of small paisley print around the edges but the salad plates are a very splashy Mediterranean flower pattern. So my husband found these Amber salad plates, and they are a great substitute! The color is a pretty good match to the background of the paisley patterned rim of the dinner plates and bowls, and since they are plain colored they are a nice coordinating plate to go with the other pieces. And, BTW, they are really sturdy so far, microwave, dishwasher, etc. Happy all around! May 14, 2015

I bought dinner plates and bowls last weekend after eyeing these pretty dishes for about a month - caught them on sale. :) They are not too heavy, have beautiful color and detail work. I bought them to complement my patterned dishes, and they are great to mix and match, or use alone. The workmanship is wonderful - all smooth, no bumps or imperfections. Check that all are same color depth before you purchase so you don't have varying hues unless you want that. Going back for the salad plates! April 25, 2011

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sarah Darker yellow, huge bowls These are beautiful dishes but be aware that the bowls are huge - they hold 3 cups when full to the top. Because of their size they didn't fit well in my dishwasher. The color is more of a crayola goldenrod (or amber as they say) and not the sunshiny yellow in the photograph. It's a pretty yellow but it definitely has a little bit of brown to deepen the tone. March 6, 2011

Purchased to replace another set from a different brand, merchant, that chipped horrible. This has not chipped so far but I have 2 items with cracking glaze. One salad plate and one large bowl. Salad plate I returned. Bowl pending. Purchase in store if you want to colormatch each dish. Otherwise color variations are prevalent. March 25, 2012
