Easy to put together. Very sturdy once tightened. I'm leaving a review because some of the lower rated reviews don't do this item justice. Was looking for a clean lined & understated console table to work as a media stand. This is better quality than a mass reproduction one would find on O********.com and comparable in looks to something one could spend a paycheck on at R********** H*******. The box was heavy, every thing well packaged, and easy to unpack. The weight of the pieces impressed me, and assembly just by myself, was easy enough. The trick to it was not tightening all of the bolts until every leg and bolt was put in place for the top, and then the bottom. The people that wrote the reviews about it being wobbly probably don't understand how to properly fasten a nut onto a spring washer. You don't just stop once it's tight, you need to go a couple more quarter turns to engage the spring. That makes it solid. The only down side? Small spots of the finish kinda flaked off from where the legs made contact with the holes. Still, even as a cosmetic point it's not even noticeable. Thank you, World Market. I'm very pleased with this purchase. It is sturdy and has very a clean industrial look. Your buyers understood what the customers would be looking for when picking this piece. November 20, 2013
Perfect table I LOVE this console table - the industrial chic look with the metal & wood is just the look I wanted for my living room. I was trying to find something a little less expensive since everything I could find was very pricey and I need two tables. Im very glad I waited till I found exactly what I was looking for. Overall, I'm glad I spent the money! I've only have it for a couple of weeks now, so I'm not sure how the table will hold up. But the bottom shelf fits baskets very well, and is a great storage area. It is sturdy, doesn't wobble, was easy to put together (8 screws) and looks great! So far, I'm extremely pleased and hoping it holds up well! April 3, 2011
in this case, its all about the look I am so torn about this reveiw. I bought this console and put it together myself. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the size, the room for storage, and the industrial look about it. The casters are my favorite part. It has the look of an expensive console at a fraction of the cost. Assembly was a bit tricky. 4 legs, 8 screws, seems simple enough. After easily setting up 3 legs, the 4th leg caused so many issues, I ended up taking the entire table apart and starting over, putting in the problem leg first. It solved the assembly problems and overall, took a little over an hour to put together. Unfortunately, when I put the table on all 4 legs, I realized 1 leg is significantly shorter that the other 3. What is shocking is that the table is incredibly sturdy on 3 legs. I decided to keep the table, that I purchased for 35% off (a steal) and ask my handy man to try and fix the shorter leg. After all that, I am giving 4 stars, because the table looks that good in my house. October 24, 2013
Love it! I didn't put it together myself, so I can't speak to the ease of assembly, but it looks fantastic - it matches my [...] chair so perfectly, it's hard to believe I didn't pay twice as much to buy something from there. Really, really pleased. July 19, 2011
8 Simple Screws... or so I thought Put farmhouse, industrial, and recycled materials into a blender and mix it up... you get this piece of perfection. From a design standpoint, it's 5-stars. However, the assembly is frustrating. It only takes 8 simple screws to put together, but the holes in the metal legs and the holes in the boards DO NOT LINE UP. We used WD-40, a good wrench (forget the cheap one included in the box), and alot of muscle. We do not have a metal-cutter but that is really what we would need to enlarge the holes enough to get all 8 screws in. We have 6 in and the other 2 simply will not go in. It is a little wobbly. Thinking about returning it to the store and trading for their floor model (will check the screws in that one first). May 28, 2011
