Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous and sturdy! I bought this as a dual TV stand and bar for my living room based on a similar piece I'd seen at a more expensive retailer and it is really gorgeous. Despite some other reviews, the wheels do lock, and I have had no trouble with it holding my 50" television and room for wine and components on the bottom shelf. I have gotten a lot of compliments on the piece and am happy with my purchase (online). My only complaints are that it mysteriously disappeared during a 20% off promotion, only to come back in inventory when the promotion was over, and also that it did take three people to put together because a small piece wasn't shaved down as much as it should have been, but we figured it out, and again it is gorgeous. Rated 5 out of 5 by Been loving this purchase for four years I appreciate the heavy weight and clean lines of this Aiden collection even though I placed the sofa table I bought between a wall and the sofa back and it can't even be seen. But it is just what I wanted, if maybe slightly too deep for the use to which I put it. A shelf below the top isn't always provided on consoles, and this one had a nice sturdy one, at a good distance away from the top. I didn't experience any of the difficulty in assembly that others have reported. Everything (holes, screws, etc.) matched up fine and even the simple tool included worked well for its purpose. Frankly, the hardest part was waiting until it went on sale and I had an additional %-off coupon, and then lugging it up the stairs! May 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Industrial Influenced Design We purchased the coffee table and two end tables from this Aiden collection a number of months ago, and have been extremely pleased with the simplicity of the design and the functionality of all three pieces. We decided to invest in the console table as well, and are just as happy with it as the other tables. It was fairly easy to assemble --- having two people was helpful --- but I think I could have handled assembly on my own. We have received many positive comments and compliments from visitors to our house. October 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this table! I bought this table a week ago for my husbands office to hold the printer, computer modem and such. It looks great! It was sort of a trick to put together but with persistence I got it done. Its my fault for not reading all of the instructions before putting it together. It even says so but... anyway.... I did eventually get it together and it is great. Very sturdy. Very authentically industrial look. I really like a lot of World Market furniture. I plan to buy some chairs there very soon...once they go on a deeper discount! August 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy to put together. Very sturdy once tightened. I'm leaving a review because some of the lower rated reviews don't do this item justice. Was looking for a clean lined & understated console table to work as a media stand. This is better quality than a mass reproduction one would find on O********.com and comparable in looks to something one could spend a paycheck on at R********** H*******. The box was heavy, every thing well packaged, and easy to unpack. The weight of the pieces impressed me, and assembly just by myself, was easy enough. The trick to it was not tightening all of the bolts until every leg and bolt was put in place for the top, and then the bottom. The people that wrote the reviews about it being wobbly probably don't understand how to properly fasten a nut onto a spring washer. You don't just stop once it's tight, you need to go a couple more quarter turns to engage the spring. That makes it solid. The only down side? Small spots of the finish kinda flaked off from where the legs made contact with the holes. Still, even as a cosmetic point it's not even noticeable. Thank you, World Market. I'm very pleased with this purchase. It is sturdy and has very a clean industrial look. Your buyers understood what the customers would be looking for when picking this piece. November 20, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect table I LOVE this console table - the industrial chic look with the metal & wood is just the look I wanted for my living room. I was trying to find something a little less expensive since everything I could find was very pricey and I need two tables. Im very glad I waited till I found exactly what I was looking for. Overall, I'm glad I spent the money! I've only have it for a couple of weeks now, so I'm not sure how the table will hold up. But the bottom shelf fits baskets very well, and is a great storage area. It is sturdy, doesn't wobble, was easy to put together (8 screws) and looks great! So far, I'm extremely pleased and hoping it holds up well! April 3, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by The good, the bad and the ugly I had been searching for a console table for a while and couldn't find one in the local stores. I found this online, with an attractive shipping discount. The surcharge was reasonable, I didn't have to lug it home and they delivered it up to my front door. I ordered it before a holiday weekend and it came very quickly and during a snow storm. The good is that the table is very nice looking. Unfortunately, It didn't look good behind my sofa, but it is a great side board in my dining room. The bad is the wrench that was included for assembly (use a real wrench) and the wheels aren't great, but I guess they would be mostly decorative as you wouldn't really roll a console table around. The ugly is the weird oil smell it has. It smells like motor oil. Weird. I'm going to give it a good cleaning and hope it goes away. But, I really like it. January 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by in this case, its all about the look I am so torn about this reveiw. I bought this console and put it together myself. It is absolutely beautiful. I love the size, the room for storage, and the industrial look about it. The casters are my favorite part. It has the look of an expensive console at a fraction of the cost. Assembly was a bit tricky. 4 legs, 8 screws, seems simple enough. After easily setting up 3 legs, the 4th leg caused so many issues, I ended up taking the entire table apart and starting over, putting in the problem leg first. It solved the assembly problems and overall, took a little over an hour to put together. Unfortunately, when I put the table on all 4 legs, I realized 1 leg is significantly shorter that the other 3. What is shocking is that the table is incredibly sturdy on 3 legs. I decided to keep the table, that I purchased for 35% off (a steal) and ask my handy man to try and fix the shorter leg. After all that, I am giving 4 stars, because the table looks that good in my house. October 24, 2013
