The AeroPress coffee and espresso maker is a great coffee maker.
I had heard several people I know talk about the AeroPress over the past couple of years and always wonder what the big deal was... Well, now I know... It is a very clever device that with some willingness to experiment with it can make some of the best coffee you have ever had.
You do need to experiment a bit to find the sweet spot of you coffee preferences. You can add as much coffee, as you like depending on how strong you like it and you can always add more water after you make it to cut it down. I have been using three scoops of beans, grinding them very fine and then filling water level to between three and four on the level indicator. I then add more boiling water to make about a 10-12oz serving. I accidentally used two filters the first time I used it and I think it did make it a little smoother so, I may try that again some time. Generally, the smoothness comes from not over grinding the beans I find.
Also, do not be in a hurry to make your coffee with the AeroPress, take you time mixing the grounds with the hot water (10+ seconds) and take your time pressing the water (20-30 seconds), nicely, evenly, slowly... It is worth the time to make it extract all of the flavors from your (ground) beans.
Remember to moisten the plunger, too... Makes a big difference in plunging...
Clean all the parts well after using too, I just generally rinse everything with hot water and occasionally mild soap.
I can see the AeroPress being a great travel accessory, if I can find some way to transport ground coffee in a vacuum sealed container, along with my half&half, etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Claudia53 BEST ESPRESSO OR REGULAR COFFEE EVER!
This is the best - and least expensive - way to make espresso or regular coffee I've ever used! The description in the overview cannot be improved upon. I'm thrilled that World Market will now be carrying it.
