Rated 3 out of 5 by Awesome umbrella but... I love this umbrella. I bought it in "natural" colour which I felt wouldn't fade-cant fade if its already white! It is only the start of the season, but it appears sturdy. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars or full points was there is no cord to pull to raise the umbrella, you have to get in under and push it up, hold it and slot the piece in. It had never occurred to me that an umbrella wouldn't have a cord or something to assist with raising it. It's not toooooo bad, as the top hole you apparently only use after time when the fabric has stretched a bit (as I was really struggling to use that hole!). But I'd still recommend the umbrella. It looks great, appears to be sturdy, and the only reason raising it inconveniences me is that I do put it down every night as we live in an often windy place so I don't want it flapping around. If I left it up all the time then the lack of cord would hardly matter at all. June 17, 2013
