Overall, I'm content with this wok. I absolutely had some trouble with the seasoning process and removal of lacquer. Removing the lacquer via hot oil and steel wool was pretty time consuming and I couldn't really tell if I had removed all of it. Next, the seasoning process was a little clunky for me. I make no claims of knowing what I'm doing, by any stretch. Right after I seasoned the wok I used it to make a stir fry... with apple cider vinegar. Not smart. All that black stuff (seasoning) came off into my food and the pan had started to develop rust spot. Ugh. No food and having to season it all over again makes for a cranky world market explorer. It seems to be fine now, but it's not pretty. There are drastic variations in the seasoning coloring. Overall, though, it seems to be doing the job. I just need to remember not to use such strong acids while cooking in it!
This little wok is a fantastic work horse. It is small but sturdy and strong. I use it to saute smaller amounts of food or sauce to add to my larger wok or just to prepare small amounts of food. I find that I go to it all the time. You can sear or stir fry quickly. And clean up is easy. Can't say enough good about this wok.
