Rated 5 out of 5 by PSUalum Cast Iron *Not* Non-Stick
I bought several pieces of enameled cast iron from WM, and love them all! I had been holding out for one of the popular French brands, but thought I'd give these a try instead and I'm so glad I did.
I went in knowing that these pieces were not non-stick, and that is actually exactly why I bought them- in an effort to remove as many chemicals from my daily routine as I can.
I cook on gas, and with cast iron, you can get away with using much less flame. These pans are very even in cooking, retain their heat well, and clean up easier than non-enameled cast iron.
Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt- as another reviewer mentioned, cooking with this style of pan has a bit of a learning curve. Once you understand that though, you'll be in love too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LucasGil Great Enameled Cast Iron
Anyone who grew up in a kitchen using enameled cast iron understands their quality. Properly maintained enameled cast iron pans can last for generations. I consider the World Market Sapphire collection an affordable version of the French brands that are heavier and more costly. Since the Sapphire skillet is light weight, it is convenient for every day cooking.
The fact that this pan is iron makes me feel better about the safety of its use since I prefer not to use aluminum or copper for cooking food. This is not a "non-stick" pan in the sense of the chemical coated pans they sell at most big box retailers. I prefer chemical-free cooking. Yes, there is a learning curve on how to use cast iron and enamel coated. But most issues can be solved using coconut oil, olive oil, or butter and a lower cooking temperature. If you do have food stick to the pan, soak it in soapy water for 10 minutes and it should come right off without the need for heavy scrubbing.
Another great benefit of the enamel coating is that I can carefully use metal utensils to cook without scratching my pan.
I bought a couple of these pans over the Christmas holidays. I loved them so much I started giving them out as gifts. How can you go wrong with the price!

Rated 1 out of 5 by JadeM DO NOT GET HIS PAN
This skillet is the opposite of nonstick. It heated way too fast and food, even with a generous amount of butter and oil, stuck to the surface. Awful AWFUL cookware. Huge waste of money, even if I did get it 50% off.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Spott Not a non-stick surface
I purchased this skillet because it was on sale and I thought it would be a good addition to the other Enamel cookware that I already have. However, this is not a good non-stick surface. Right now, I am soaking the skillet in the sink so I can clean it.
I suggest spending a few more dollars and buying a better skillet.
