Good As Gold A previous reviewer said that the mesurements were off & believe me that happens a lot more than one thinks; however, many people tend to use the scoop & swoop method & then leveling it off afterwards. This is not the proper way to measure, at least with flours. You will always get more ingredient this way, as it is compacted. I was taught the proper way to measure is to lightly stir up the flour or ingredient of choice & then use a spoon to transfer the fluffed flour into your measuring cup. Try doing the two methods side-by-side & you will be amazed at how much of a difference (I got an extra 1/3 of a cup for one cookie recipe I tried after first learning of this method). In measuring with this method I got the proper amount of grams for each size. So enjoy these cuties! June 10, 2012
Cute, but it won't last I got these as a gift from my mother and was really excited because I have an affinity for kitchen items with a little color and flair. Within the first 3 months of having these, little chips began to appear in the rims of the cups and then the handle broke off one of the cups! I don't own a dishwasher, so that couldn't have been the problem and having been a baker for several years, I take care of my kitchen tools. I also received the matching measuring spoons and had the same problem of chipping. Don't be fooled by the cute colors! January 9, 2013
Not True Measures These are beautiful cups, and clean easily, but scooping up flour and leveling it off in the cup measure gives you 1 1/3 cups instead of 1. So if you truly want to measure for baking, don't use these. April 17, 2012
