I had my first mug of this this morning after finishing my World Market Peruvian coffee. It was delicious! Stronger than the Peruvian and very smooth. I can probably use a few less grinds and still get a good strong flavor. There was absolutely no bitterness whatsoever. I would stock up on this every time there is a sale.

This is some of the best french roast coffee available anywhere. My husband and I are very particular about our morning brew, and in the past have only purchased from micro-roasteries (mostly those located in the Pacific Northwest, i.e., the coffee capital of the U.S.). On a whim -- actually, mostly because of cost -- we decided to give Cost Plus' coffees a try. After sampling several different varieties and roasts, we settled on this one (as well as the sumatra). This french roast is full bodied and robust, with excellent acidity, without being bitter or burnt tasting. And it's an excellent value for the price. I would highly recommend it, and I wouldn't start my morning without it.

Thank you for having some of the best coffee beans I have come across. My husband and I love fresh beans every morning. We have to order online but we don't mind since it's such an amazing bang for our buck.
