Great for keeping milk or juice fresh-no cardboard taste! This is just what I was looking for! I buy my milk and juice in cardboard 1/2 gallon containers and wonder how much of the coating on the inner cardboard lining leaches out into the fluid. I also like that the glass gets cold and thus keeps the liquid at a colder temp. Regarding the prior review on this item, the stopper is not meant to be kept on the container while pouring - it is meant to keep on the container to keep air out. Pull the stopper (it pulls very easily) out to pour, and put back in. It's just a rubber stopper (BPA-free, too I might add!). It also looks lovely in my 'fridge when I open the door. Now I'm purchasing the quart-sized one for my juices as I like to keep an assortment of smoothies/juices on hand. Also - LOVE the free shipping - and items come so well-packaged! July 11, 2013
The Stopper is the problem While I love the glass pitcher itself, it is rendered nearly useless in regards to its purposed design, because the stopper is so loose. If you put the stopper in and pour anything out, the stopper falls right out. You can easily push the stopper right into the pitcher as well. I made have to try and wrap numerous rubberbands around it and see if it works. I am disappointed. It works great as a lidless pitcher if that's what you are looking for. July 2, 2013
