Good quality. A little heavy and not much leverage to hold on to for the older seniors. Very attractive
Well made glass Pitcher with indented area for grasping that fits your fingers/hand securely. Thicker glass but NOT exceptionally heavy that does not appear as if it would shatter easily if dropped.
It's all right, I guess. My hands aren't all that small or anything, but I have a hard time getting a good grip on it. Also, the lid was a little loose for my liking. And I totally saw the SAME EXACT PITCHER for like half the price somewhere else. I'd still recommend it for someone else, if the above scruples don't matter to them, but I wouldn't repurchase it.
Great find -- it's an Anchor Hocking pitcher, AND it's made in the USA! It's thicker glass than the pitcher I got at a name-brand kitchen store for more $$. Yes, the stopper sits on top of it -- I don't think you're supposed to pour liquid through it, it's just a top. Overall, very happy with this purchase! I bought two, possibly more. Thanks World Market!
This is just what I was looking for! I buy my milk and juice in cardboard 1/2 gallon containers and wonder how much of the coating on the inner cardboard lining leaches out into the fluid. I also like that the glass gets cold and thus keeps the liquid at a colder temp.
While I love the glass pitcher itself, it is rendered nearly useless in regards to its purposed design, because the stopper is so loose. If you put the stopper in and pour anything out, the stopper falls right out. You can easily push the stopper right into the pitcher as well. I made have to try and wrap numerous rubberbands around it and see if it works. I am disappointed. It works great as a lidless pitcher if that's what you are looking for.
