I love this pan I love this pan. I actually bought the same one for [$] somewhere else but it is really great. If you are going to buy this read how to care for your pan. You should not wash it with soap and it must be oiled (seasoned) with canola or peanut oil before using. Just rinse with warm water and dry. If you do wash it use barkeepers friend and start over. I highly reccomend this pan I have cooked a couple paellas in this pan using my Weber kettle grill and it lived up to expectations, less expensive than others found elsewhere. June 26, 2010
Great Paella Pan I bought this paella pan after scouring the internet. Most of the paella pans cost $30 - $100, then I saw this on the World Market site. I went to my local WM and bought it for [$]. I made paella for 6 of us, and there were no leftovers. The pan cooked on the stovetop and then into the oven. Mahalo World Market. April 11, 2010
Seafood Paella made easily I got the Paella pan at the local World market and made seafood paella on it without any problems at all. The pan is from Spain and is well worth the price. Every kitchen should have this paella pan in it. March 10, 2010
Great pan I've had this pan a few days and just love it. It is the perfect size to cook paella. Also, it's perfect for risotto. You need to remember not to use too high a heat as the pan is not a heavy one. For these rice dishes the diameter and the heighth of the pan is perfect. It is to rice dishes what a wok is to stir fry. If you like specialty pans for different foods, you will love this pan. January 10, 2010
Great Pan, poor execution on the sticker This is a decent pan for the price, good for 5-8 portions depending on how thick you make it. Like all paella pans, you must keep lightly oiled to avoid rust. Heat distribution is fine if you have a large dispersed source of heat. As another reviewer mentioned, the factory sticker on the pan from Spain removes with ease, the other sticker Wolrd Market put on is a real PIA. It took a long time boiling in hot water and using sharp edges until only most of it came off, shame on you guys for doing this! Minus a star for that. Handles do get hot and paint can chip off there, but this is typical of paella pans. September 4, 2010
Good pan, great price I have wanted a paella pan for years but just could not bring myself to spend $$$$ for a pan that would not be used too frequently. I saw this online then picked one up at my local World Market store. Great pan, I have made seafood paella, delish! You need to follow the instructions and store your pan lightly oiled as you do with cast iron or a good wok. Only complaint, the stickers on the pan use real sticky glue and it took awhile to remove all the residue. Handles stay cool, pan heats well and perfect for paella! and made in Spain :-) August 11, 2010
Paella Pan I have used this pan once and left it to dry on the rack. The next day it had rust and water stains from heating the water(per pan directions). I now leave it lightly oiled in my oven since it is not stainless steel and seems to require the same care as cast iron. The weight of the pan is helpful when cooking heavy items like paella, however, it does not heat evenly and you have to keep a close watch on your meal. Nevertheless, I love the diameter of this pan and would still recommend it to those who like a challenge. March 4, 2010
