Rated 5 out of 5 by Cookinggirl79 my favorite pan! This wok is one of the best purchases next to my cast iron pan. I cook everyday for my family. My pan took no time at all to get perfectly seasoned. I skip the non stick pans all together they are filled with chemicals that get in your food over time. This pan becomes naturally non stick if you take the time and season the wok correctly. I suggest cooking a piece of bacon in it after you season it according to the directions. I started out with the small 8" carbon steel wok. I had to upgrade to the larger one for bigger meals. As you can see in my photo the 8" one is beautifully seasoned. The 14" pan is almost perfectly seasoned another week cooking in it and it will look like the 8" inch wok. April 7, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by DrMac Excellent for all types of cooking The weight is wonderful, it's a heavy wok that allows you to cook a variety of meals, not just stir frying. Make sure you seal it first, instructions included, otherwise you will have a strange taste when you eat. I did't do that with the first one I bought and it also turned very dark. I was able to clean it but save yourself time and trouble. February 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by ricelover Excellent value Own a carbon steel wok from a high end store, but wanted a 2nd one to make multiple stir fry dishes without having to clean wok in-between and let first dish get cold. Amazed to see the low price at World's Market. The same wok is twice the price elsewhere, and I shopped around. The steel is thicker than my other wok, so it is less likely to warp under high heat. But it does take an extra minute to preheat because of the thickness. It comes with a lacquer finish that one must remove first before you can season the wok. There are clear directions for doing this included. Carbon steel woks should always be hand washed--a dishwasher will cause it to rust. I always store the wok completely dry with a thin coating of oil rubbed into the surface. After awhile, a nonstick patina develops inside the wok, making it even more pleasurable to use. I use a metal wok spatula for stir-frying, works very well. I have an expensive stainless steel wok which hardly ever gets used. It will never develop a non stick patina, and food sticks terribly to the surface. I end up using it primarily for steaming. I also have a nonstick stir-fry pan which can never get hot enough for proper stir-fry, since the high heat destroys the non stick surface (and possibly flakes into your food!). With my rice cooker and my two carbon steel woks, I can make fast delicious healthy meals in a fraction of the time. I highly recommend Grace Young's Stir-Frying to the Sky's Edge. Her recipes are delicious. I love to wok. October 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by houseboy Fits the need but be careful We use it a lot but be careful and don't use anything to clean that is the least bit abrasive. I made the mistake of using the wrong side of one of our scrubbers and wore a whole in the cooking finish. We will replace but will not scrub so hard in the future. January 17, 2013
