The pan was advertised as a brownie pan when I bought it but it will not work good for brownies or cakes, maybe they've changed the description in their add by now though. It's great for short bread, cookies, and even to be used as a soap making mold. Even though advertised as non-stick I would use some cooking spray to help the baked goods release easier.
