Rated 4 out of 5 by Singing in the sun, just singing in the SUN.... Got this umbrella to cover a patio area and to block sun from entering through a patio door in the late afternoon. It does the job, as I expected. The umbrella had to be offset as space is limited and I needed the stand to be on one side to be out of foot traffic. I love the color, size and ease to raise and lower the umbrella. The weights are somewhat pricy, so I elected to make wood stands with potted plants on top to secure the umbrella to the ground. This works well and makes it more likely people will not trip over the legs. July 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Unbalanced and unwieldily Don't try to operate or move this umbrella on your own because of its unbalanced (cantilevered) design. It needs a very heavy base (with a special shape, sold separately, but out of stock) for it to stand upright. The slightest wind or nudge will send it toppling over. Don't place the stand near foot traffic because the arm and foot structures will trip you up. For the cost, it seems to be okay value if I could figure out what to do with this thing. Probably not worth the cost of shipping it back. March 13, 2015
