The availability of an item is noted on the Product Detail page as one of these four categories: "In Stock," "In Store Only," "Coming Soon" or "Backorder." Most items are In Stock and ready to ship. Some items are either not yet available (Coming Soon), temporarily out-of-stock (Backorder) or can only be purchased in our retail stores (In-Store Only).
Please note: expected shipment times specify when an item is expected to leave our warehouse, not when the item will arrive at its final shipping destination. After your order leaves our warehouse, delivery times vary according to the shipping method you select during Checkout and the location of your shipping address. Remote locations that are not readily accessible may require additional time to make delivery.
You will not be billed for items purchased with a credit card until they have shipped. You may see a temporary charge for items purchased with a debit or bankcard immediately upon order confirmation. This is a standard practice to verify the validity of the card, and the charge will be removed when your item has been shipped and charged properly for the full amount.

Most orders for In-Stock items begin shipping as soon as your online purchase is completed. Items are shipped once they are located in stock, your payment is approved, and the receiving address is verified.
Example: if you order an In-Stock item on Monday that leaves the warehouse in 1-2 business days, it will leave our warehouse no later than Wednesday. After your order leaves our warehouse, delivery times vary according to the shipping method you select during Checkout and the location of your shipping address. Please note that business days are Monday-Friday, excluding federal holidays within the United States.
Backorder items are temporarily out of stock but available for purchase on our site. A Backorder item that you may order is shipped directly to you once it is back in stock. You will be notified of the status of your item via email. You will not be charged for Backorder items until they ship from our warehouse.
In-Store Only Items
In-Store Only items can only be purchased at one of our retail locations. To find your nearest World Market store, please visit our Store Locator page.
Online-Only items can only be purchased on our site and are not available in our retail locations. These exclusive items will require alternate return methods and may not be returned to a World Market store. Please follow the instructions included in you shipment.
