Christmas is my favorite time of the year to decorate, and I love for our front porch to set a festive, welcoming tone for our guests. We recently gave our front door a makeover by staining it a rich, antique walnut color. So, I’ve been really excited to decorate it for the holidays. I love how the seasonal reds and greens pop against the dark stain.
Once I saw World Market’s collection of rustic ornaments and retro-inspired Christmas decor, I had my decorating theme for the front door and porch. Welcome to our vintage lodge.
For the front door, one wreath wasn’t enough. So I hung two Alpine Berry and Pinecone Wreaths on Red Ticking Ribbon on the glass insert. I also added some simple greenery, made from two Icy Pinecone Garlands to the top of the door.
A Red Metal Filigree Lantern hangs on a hook by the door, and a pair of decorated topiary Christmas trees flanks each side. I headed to the gift wrap section of my local store and picked up two Bushel Baskets to hold the miniature Christmas trees.
I used mini Red Berry Wreaths as tree toppers. Paper Lodge LED Lanterns in red and green look so pretty hung on the trees. And the woodland scenes certain fit my decorating theme. I also love the Fabric Knit Boot Ornaments, Knit Stocking Ornaments and Mini Knit Sweater Ornaments I used on the trees. These Wood Ski Ornaments were also a must-have!
To add a final snowy touch to my winter porch scene, I painted and glittered a set of Laser Cut Snowflake Ornaments for the two trees.
