If you’ve been in any of our stores, chances are you’ve seen a few of our favorite Kantha finds from east Asia. Originating in Bangladesh and parts of eastern India, it’s a centuries-old quilting technique of screen-printing, hand-stitching and stone washing quilts and other textiles from scraps of material. Kantha also refers to the characteristic straight embroidery stitch that runs in parallel lines across the width of the fabric.
Kantha You Can Truly Love
Whether it’s a floor pillow, coverlet or weekender bag, we think you’re going to love the exquisite colors, elegant pattern and intricate stitching of each stonewashed piece.
