Throw Your Own Pumpkin Carving & Decorating Party

Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with Halloween. It’s such a fun, unique holiday that allows for so many fun traditions and celebrations. Over at our house, there are a few things that we do every year without fail. The first is create our own costumes and the second is decorate pumpkins. My two girls love to do this with neighbors or friends so it usually turns into a party of sorts.

Here I’ll show you how to throw a perfect Pumpkin Carving & Decorating party! But first…

What You’ll Need:

Setting The Scene

I used the Halloween Garland to frame the entire party. I placed the ‘Happy Halloween’ and witch/bat decals in the center of my backdrop (a peg board) and circled them with party fans and garlands.

The table was set with crazy-adorable Halloween Plates on paper orange placemats. I added the Halloween Beverage Napkins, Mini Halloween Gift Bags and Halloween Paper Cups to the place settings.

Party Treats

The treats for our party were made my the talented Angie of Fancy Eats and Sweets. She made coordinating cookies, the amazing glitter ‘Goblin Cake’ and the ‘Skull and Bones’ cake pops—all were scary good!

Party Activities

The activities for this party were so much fun! We had a contest to see who could make their pumpkins look like the witch, skull, pumpkin and cat designs of the Classic World Market Halloween Collection. The kids took the task VERY seriously and spent the majority of the party decorating their pumpkins with stickers, markers and crayons.

We also gave each child a set of Gummy Vampire Fangs and had a contest of who could sound most like a vampire with the gummies in their mouths. Suffice to say, it was hilarious! Lastly, we had each kiddo wear the fun spider sunglasses from the All Occasions Spooky Party Pack Favors and have them present their scariest Halloween faces.
