The winter months can be blistering cold…and a nice cup of frothy Turmeric Hot Chocolate will help warm things up! Almost everyone is focused on getting healthier in the new year and health benefits of the ingredients in this recipe make it all the more appealing. Who wouldn’t want a mug of delicious homemade hot chocolate—with the added immune boost?!?
Turmeric is a superfood that is becoming more widely known and popular. This spice is yellow in color and known for being used in Indian curry recipes. Turmeric is said to help reduce inflammation and treat digestive problems, so it’s a great spice to have in your pantry.
To make this “turned-up” hot chocolate, we are taking the superfood World Market® Organic Turmeric and pairing it with some of World Market’s other food items, such as La Tourangelle Coconut Oil, World Market® Organic Saigon Cinnamon (in store), World Market® Organic Cayenne Pepper, Breitsamer Golden Honey, and Chaokoh Coconut Milk. These ingredients will make this recipe not only taste amazing, but it will also be good for you. Add a tablespoon or two (or three) of World Market® Deep Dark European Cocoa for a delicious drink recipe. This hot chocolate recipe is dairy-free and is frothy like a latte.
This Turmeric Hot Chocolate recipe starts by heating and whisking one 13.5 fl oz can of Chaokoh Coconut Milk and water in a small saucepan over the stove. Once the liquid starts to bubble around the edges of the pot, turn off the heat.
The key to a cup of perfect frothy hot chocolate is using a blender and good-quality World Market® ingredients. All of the ingredients get blitzed in a high speed blender until well-combined and frothy.
The smell of this Turmeric Hot Chocolate is amazing! The World Market® Deep Dark European Cocoa is so rich; when combined with the warm spices and sweetened with Breitsamer Golden Honey, the flavors amp up even more. This recipe makes enough for 2 cups to be enjoyed on a cold winter day.

Can Blue Agave be used in place of the honey?
Absolutely!
There’s no real recipe here!!! 13 ounces of coconut milk but how much of the other ingredients? What a waste of my time.
Sorry but recipe didn’t show on phone till later.
That’s still a pretty severe reaction for what may have taken you 5 minutes to look at.
Include black pepper to help absorption of tumeric.
Pretty the Cocoa mix listed to use in recipe has dried milk in its contents… But perhaps could use plain unsweetened cocoa powder instead…
Sounds interesting
Black pepper instead of red pepper will help turmeric to be used by the body.
you coukd use an almond milk or regular milk but i think that the coconut oil is what will make it frothy plus build immune properties.
Maybe almond or soy milk. Olive, wheat, almond, oils.
Is there a substtutuion for the coconut milk and coconut oil?
If you don’t care for the taste of coconut, use refined cocount oil. It has the same benefits as the organic type, but no flavor. You could substitute almond or cashew milk, but not soy milk, as it acts like estrogen in your body.
