When it comes to fashion-forward accessories, leaving the house with just one is never enough! I’m a big fan of layering, mixing and matching my accessories to add a little something extra to even the simplest outfit.
Two of my favorite, quick and easy outfits are a lightweight black dress and a pair of jeans with the perfect white tee, and both can become very different looks (a little dressier or more casual) with just a couple of accessories.
To dress up my white tee and jeans a little bit, I’ve layered two delicate gold necklaces. I love this pretty gold lariat with a horn pendant as a base; it’s light and beautiful. Plus, a long necklace always seems to feel a little more formal and is an easy way to elevate your jewelry layering.
And I like to mix up lengths and layers by adding a another necklace with the same labradorite stone, but in a shorter version. I wanted the stones to be the same for a little more of a matching look, but you could also change it up by adding some neutral beads or even a little pop of peacock.
To add a little something special to my favorite little black dress, I started with this coral fringe scarf in a fun geometric print. Scarves are something I truly feel you can never have enough of—and you never, ever get rid of them! No matter the season, a scarf is a quick and easy way to add some dimension to your outfit and is a always nice to have in your bag to add another layer when needed (and is also great to have on hand to cover up a spill, should you happen to have a mid-day mishap!).
Because one accessory is never enough, I paired my scarf with geometric embroidered earrings in a bright and fun fuchsia color. The chromatic look with the scarf and earrings is one way to go, but another great way to wear this pretty pink is to pair with turquoise and blue. Try the coral scarf with a pair of simple, classic turquoise drop earrings, or pair the fuchsia earrings with a sheer and vibrant cobalt scarf for big color impact.
