Holiday dinners are some of my favorites of the year because I’m surrounded by those I love the most. I always request to be in charge of table decor because I love to create a fun and festive atmosphere to share with my favorite people. With $100 in hand and some natural elements from the yard, this simple, rustic tablescape really sets the scene for holiday meals.
I love using candles in my table decor because dining by candlelight can be so romantic and cozy. I used these Silver Merury Glass Pillar Candles and Silver Mercury Glass Tapered Candleholders as the main focus of the centerpiece because of their dramatic effect. I got them situated in their appropriate spots on the table and then used some free Christmas tree clippings from our local hardware store to form a garland down the middle of the table.
Once in place, I added these Gold Mercury Glass Votive Candleholders and some mini oak rounds interweaved throughout the greenery. Some additional candles I had on hand made everything look even more cozy.
Natural oak rounds act as chargers for dinner plates and sit atop these Red Stripe Linen Napkins. I added basic white plates and gold flatware I already had on hand to complete each place setting. I would’ve loved to add my great-grandmothers vintage Christmas china, which is another option if your family has some on hand! Topping each plate with a swig of the same greenery used down the center of the table, mixed with some berries, gives festive flair to each place setting. I love adding natural greenery for an earthy and rustic look, and the woodsy fragrance is the perfect sensory addition.
As you can see, this table is simple to put together and involved very minimal effort! The pillars and candleholders can be repurposed throughout the year for other occasions as well. For $100, this beautiful tablescape is perfect for hosting your family and friends this holiday season!
