There’s no doubt that orange and variations of pumpkin spice, rust and garnet are the colors of the fall season, but there’s something about a front door that deviates from all-things orange that makes you take notice. For blogger Monica Lavin of Lavin Label, picking chalk white gourds and green gourds was the trick to changing up her usual orange-laden seasonal front door decor.
“I love the green ivy on the walls of my front gate, so I went with pumpkins and gourds that accentuated the natural elements,” said Lavin. In addition to filling the space with gourds in every shape and size, she also peppered in lanterns, mums, and included a live magnolia wreath to create a look that’s elegant and inspired by nature.
